My Loner Poem

My loner poem:

As I watched the others run past me,
Loneliness engulfed me.
At the wall I always leaned,
While the children played and grinned.

At the wall is where I will stay,
At the playground the others will play.
Fear to come near to me,
Fear to be a loner like me.

Never approached each other,
Always scared of one another.
Please oh please play with me,
For I am very lonely.

The day has come for me to go,
And I want to let everybody know.
So I chalked on the wall before I go,
To make everybody think someone else did so.

The Loner Poem

"The Loner", 18 July 2009

The loner:

This boy seriously needs help. He is too anti-social and too wary of his surroundings. Though he longs to play with the other children, he never talk to them. He should make the effort to walk up and introduce himself. He depends on people to come up to him instead of him going to them. I think it is silly to bore himself everyday by leaning "against the playground wall" and do "boredom-beating tricks" but "never plays". However, I feel sorry for him as the other children ignored his existence. Too bad that "his loneness is his shell and shield".

The children:

They are very energetic but are only friendly to their own "familiar clique". As they walk pass him in huddled groups, they would do some "low talking" which is clearly that they are gossiping about him. They "never speak" to the lonely boy at all until the time the boy moved away.

'Watch this space' was chalked by someone. The children ignored him so badly until it felt the same as watching an empty space, like the boy never existed.

"The Dark Knight" Assignment, 3 July 2009

1. Do you pity the Joker?

Yes. Joker's name in "The Dark Knight" is Melvin White. When Melvin was young, his father abused his mother and himself. According to Melvin, his father was "a drinker and a fiend". His father attack him with a knife, creating a mutilated smile. It affected him, both mental and physical scarring that gave rise to the homicidal clown, "The Joker".

2. What have you learn in this lesson?

I have learn that heroes and villains have some similarities even though they were known to be called the "good guy" and the "bad guy". Batman is a hero, a "good guy", but that doesn't mean he is all good. He does things which are not ethical just to know what Joker is up to. Joker, known as the "bad guy", isn't all that bad too. He only kills people who are involved in his mission but not all the others. Joker doesn't turn bad because he wanted too. It was his father fault that made him physically and mentally affected.
